How I work

By starting with your questions and decisions

I don’t use proprietary climate datasets or analysis tools that may drive an analysis in a predetermined direction. I start with your questions, and the decisions and planning processes that the answers need to inform. Then we can discuss the most effective pathways to answering those questions.

By offering a range of climate information solutions and services

Every organization is different—not just in terms of climate vulnerabilities, but also with regard to technical capacity and how information can be best provided to support decision-making. Accordingly, I can provide a wide range of climate-information services and solutions, calibrated in each case to the questions, the decision and planning needs, and the technical capacity of the client—including services to build capacity.

By working with other experts to extend my reach

As a one-person shop, I offer flexibility and cost-efficiency. But there are of course limits to what I can do alone. I can reach out to many talented colleagues—climate modelers, hydrologists, adaptation experts—to tackle larger projects. Likewise, I’m available to join your team to add more capability.
